In 2001 my family and I moved to Algona because it was affordable. We soon found Algona to be a friendly place and liked the small-town atmosphere. Several years ago I became interested in finding ways to serve my community that fit my schedule and talents. In 2017 I became a member of the Planning Commission. I have enjoyed learning about our ordinances, local and regional development plan, as well as working with the mayor, police chief, board members, and other staff who make our city great. As the region grows our central location makes our town a prime location for families and businesses. I want to keep our small-town feel and sense of community while increasing opportunities for our residents and businesses. I look forward to serving our community in this role and want to help guide the direction of Algona with support from our residents.
